I ran into a Kernel Power crash (Event 41) the other night while watching YouTube and closing Rimworld. The only other thing happening was a pending Windows security update that kicked in right after the crash. Here's a quick rundown of my specs: GPU: AMD RX 6600 8GB, CPU: Ryzen 5 5600, RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX 16GB 2666MHz, Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M S2H, PSU: Super Flower Silver Eco 600W, and Storage: 1 M.2 SSD and 2 NVMe SSDs. This is the first BSOD I've had in months, with the last one being due to faulty RAM, which I've since replaced. After the crash, I ran a memory diagnostic scan and it showed no issues. Later on, I opened Chrome and played Project Zomboid, which consumed quite a bit of RAM, and there were no problems. Should I be worried about this crash, or is it likely a one-off issue since it hasn't happened again?

I wouldn't sweat it unless it starts happening frequently, like more than once a week or always when using certain programs. It's pretty normal for systems to have a random crash occasionally, especially if it’s your first one in a long time.
Just to add, I ran a command prompt scan (sfc /scannow) and it found and fixed some corrupted files. It’s worth doing that as it might be the root of your problem.
I experienced a similar thing, but mine only crashed when I left my system idle. Keeping HWINFO64 running seemed to solve the issue for me. In your case, if you've left it idle without crashes, then it probably isn’t related to that.
Event 41 is just a category indicating something went wrong. You can find more detailed information in the Event Viewer. If you don’t understand what it says, you could use AI tools to help interpret the details. Just make sure to get a second opinion on the results, as that can help you gauge the severity of the issue. I had a CPU that seemed fine for two years, and then it started crashing with the same error.

I think I can rule out idling since I left it idle for about a half hour afterwards, and nothing happened.
