Upgrading My PC for a 9070XT: Need Suggestions

I'm looking to buy a 9070XT this month to upgrade my current graphics card, and I'd love some advice on what to improve next to maximize its performance. I'm aiming for upgrades around $500 outside of the graphics card. I want to stick with AM4 due to the high prices of DDR5. My current specs are: Ryzen 7 5800x CPU, ASUS Tuf Gaming X570 Pro motherboard, Corsair Titan 360mm cooler, 32GB Corsair DDR4 RAM, Corsair 650W PSU, and a Deepcool 560 ATX Midtower case. I just updated that I might have to switch to AM5 instead. Any thoughts?

At this point, you’ve maxed out the AM4 setup. If you have the budget, go for more SSD storage or upgrade to 32GB DDR4 RAM. Just know that nothing in AM4 will give you a big boost over your current setup.

If you really want to stay on AM4, the 5700X3D is your only option for an upgrade. Otherwise, switching to LGA 1700 and getting a 7800X3D combo is a smart choice—especially if there's a Microcenter nearby. Just keep in mind the prices of DDR4 vs. DDR5.

Honestly, there's not much left to upgrade on AM4 unless you're looking at the 5700/5800X3D, which are pretty overpriced right now. If your PSU isn't a high-tier model, consider upgrading that first to meet the recommended wattage for the 9070XT.

Looks like you’ll need to switch to AM5 for the best performance. I was in a similar situation, using a 5700X with a 9070XT and an 850W PSU. I recently upgraded to a 7800X3D and a B650E-E board, and it’s a solid move for future-proofing. Prices are high now, but if you can swing it, consider doing it soon to avoid even higher costs later!

A higher watt PSU is crucial if you want to fully utilize the 9070XT. Honestly, a 750W is recommended, but I’d suggest going for a 1000W or even 1200W for some extra headroom without breaking the bank.
