Looking to Switch from Windows 11 to Linux – What’s the Best Distro?

I'm considering moving from Windows 11 to Linux because my laptop is running slower with Windows 11's bloatware and high CPU usage, even though Windows 10 worked great for me on my Dell Latitude 7300. My laptop specs are pretty decent with an Intel Core i7-8665U, UHD 620, 24GB RAM, and 768GB dual NVMe storage. I do appreciate some of the customization and features that Windows 11 offers. Can anyone recommend a Linux distribution that would give me a similar experience?

I'd suggest trying out MX Linux, Mint, Fedora with KDE Plasma, or even Office Zero Linux to find what works best for you!

Start with Zorin first! It's the most Windows-like distro and works really well. If you want something else, Mint is a solid, reliable choice that just works without too much hassle.

If you prefer something that resembles Windows aesthetics, both Zorin and AnduinOS are excellent choices for getting into Linux.

You should definitely give Fedora KDE a try! It's intuitive and comes with great customization options right out of the box.

Honestly, since your laptop was fine with Windows 10, any of the major Linux distros should perform just fine. You could also check out MX Linux or Mint if you want good beginner-friendly options.
