Looking for Alternatives to Chrome and Trusted Antivirus After Virus Attack

I recently had to format my PC due to a virus that completely took over my system. I was using Windows 11, and the virus prevented me from removing it, even becoming an unremovable exception in Windows Security scans. Despite trying Malwarebytes and HitmanPro, I couldn't eliminate the threat. Eventually, I backed up my important files, activated two-factor authentication on my accounts, and performed a factory reset. Now, I want to switch from using Google Chrome and am seeking recommendations for alternative browsers. Additionally, I need a reliable antivirus solution to prevent this from happening again, preferably a free one. If you have suggestions for other useful apps or programs, I'd love to hear about those too. Thanks!

You know, you might not need a full antivirus if you're careful about your online behavior. But if you're looking for a browser alternative, try Firefox with the uBlock Origin extension—it's solid for blocking ads!

I used to have a lot of issues with viruses too, but I learned my lesson the hard way! Now, I just stick to verified downloads. Thanks for the Firefox tip, I’ll give it a shot!
