I'm putting together my first PC build and ran into a snag with my power supply (PSU), an MSI A850GS. It only came with one cable that has an 8-pin to 6+2 connector for PCIe. I noticed the other 8-pin cables are labeled "CPU." My graphics card actually requires two 8-pin cables. Can I use that spare 8-pin labeled CPU, or is it safer to get two aftermarket cables? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey! You definitely shouldn't use that EPS cable for your GPU because it's a different connector and won't fit. Your A850GS should ideally come with two 6+2 pigtail cables for PCIe. You can use one pigtail and one standard 8-pin for your GPU. Just make sure to check the box because it might come with the cables you need.

Got it! I found the 6+2 cables in the box. Thanks for clarifying!
