I'm planning to move my Linux Mint Cinnamon system drive from a 3200u laptop to my main PC, which has a 9060xt OC 8GB, a 5700g B550 chipset, and 32GB of RAM. Since Linux uses in-kernel drivers, will it automatically detect and load the appropriate modules for the new hardware? Are there situations where I might need to manually remove drivers before making this switch? Also, I intend to dual boot with a separate Windows drive.

You should generally be fine! Linux dynamically loads in-kernel drivers at boot, so it should recognize the new hardware and work with the amdgpu driver without much hassle. Just a heads up, you might need to tweak some configurations for the new setup, but everything should mostly just work!

Great to hear! By the way, I have three drives (Windows, Linux Mint, and a separate Windows games SSD). How can I make sure Linux never mounts or interacts with the Windows games drive?
