I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700X3D with 48GB of DDR4 RAM and a Radeon RX 9070 XT for gaming at 1440p. My setup has been performing well, especially in games, and I don't often feel CPU-bound. I've noticed a lot of discussions around the new AM5 builds and am questioning whether I might be missing out on performance gains by sticking with my current setup. Upgrading to AM5 would require a new motherboard, DDR5 RAM, and a new CPU, which is quite an investment. I want to know if anyone else has made the leap from AM4 to AM5 and whether it was worth it or if I should just hold off until a future upgrade. Any advice?

Honestly, you're good to go with what you have! Upgrading now might only yield minor improvements and it's not worth the hefty price tag. Just hold on until AM6 comes out for a better reason to upgrade.
At 1440p, your games won't see much difference from a CPU upgrade. Performance feels solid, so you seem good where you are. Don't let FOMO dictate your decisions!
Trust me, a jump to AM5 isn't gonna blow your socks off, especially considering the costs involved. With RAM prices sky-high, you're better off waiting a few more years.
Definitely not worth it right now, especially with the current prices for RAM and CPUs. You're not really missing out on that much performance-wise with your rig.
Your setup is already stronger than what a lot of people are upgrading to. Upgrading just to chase numbers isn't really advisable, especially with the small performance gains you'd get. Stick with AM4 for now.
