Trouble with New Intel i5-14600KF – Red CPU LED and No POST, Need Help!

I'm having a tough time with my new Intel i5-14600KF processor. After installing it, I'm greeted by a constant Red CPU Debug LED, and my system doesn't even POST. The fans are spinning, but there's no display. Just to provide some context, I had been using an i5-12400F, which worked perfectly— I updated my BIOS to the latest version that supports 14th Gen processors before installing the new chip, but I'm still getting the same issue. I've tried various troubleshooting methods, including using different RAM configurations and adjusting the cooler's pressure, but the problem persists. I also checked the socket pins and everything looks good. Is there any other advice you can offer before I consider sending it back for a refund or replacement? Has anyone else faced issues with the 14th Gen i5 being DOA?

Just a thought—did you skip over several BIOS versions and jump straight to the last one? It might be worth it to go through a couple of the previous versions instead, especially bigger updates can be tricky. It's generally recommended not to skip more than a few versions.

Have you done the ME firmware update after your BIOS update? It's really important for compatibility with new CPUs! Sometimes, missing that can lead to issues like what you're experiencing.

Did you try clearing your CMOS after installing the new CPU? That can sometimes reset any weird settings that are causing problems. If that doesn't work, consider rolling back to the prior BIOS version just before the latest.
