Why is my browser lagging without hardware acceleration?

I've noticed that my browsers were using my Nvidia GPU for acceleration, so I decided to turn off hardware acceleration. Now, videos won't even run at 60fps anymore. I've tried updating and clean installing my Intel drivers, but nothing seems to improve the situation. Any advice?

Dude, you seriously need hardware acceleration to keep your browsing smooth. Turning it off can really tank performance, especially for video playback. I'd recommend turning it back on and seeing if that helps.

Yeah, I agree! I had a similar issue when I tried to disable it. My videos were lagging so much, it was unwatchable.

Definitely! I think most browsers optimize with acceleration on.

I get your frustration, but some websites just need that acceleration to perform well. If you're having consistent issues without it, it might be worth keeping it enabled and finding a way to balance the GPU load better.
