I recently set up a dual-boot system with Windows 11 and Pop!_OS. I allocated 160 GB for Pop!_OS while Windows has a total of 700 GB and around 300 GB free. I want to resize the partitions to allocate about 250 GB to Linux. I attempted to install GParted, but when I try to launch it, nothing happens. The password prompt appears, but then disappears without any error message. I also tried to take space from Windows, but it only lets me give a minimal amount of 50 MB. My hardware includes an RTX 4060 and an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X. Do I need to install a specific driver or something?

To make changes with GParted, you definitely need to use a live session. Running it from the installed OS is usually just for viewing. Also, the free space you can allocate from Windows may be limited by the location of its page file, so keep that in mind.
I had a similar issue. Try running `xhost si:localuser:root` in the terminal before starting GParted and see if that helps. It might solve your problem.
Resizing partitions, especially ones with data, can be risky. You don't want to mess with them while you're booted into your system since it can lead to data loss. I recommend running GParted from a live USB instead of your installed OS. It’ll give you much better control without risk to your active files.
Having GParted running while you're on the installed system doesn't allow for changes. You should always boot from a live USB if you're looking to modify partition sizes.
