Hey folks! I'm a beginner and could really use some guidance on building a PC that balances cost and quality. I want to keep my budget around €1200, but it seems tough to hit that mark. My friend helped me come up with a configuration, but the total price is way higher than I expected. Here are the specs we put together:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 Wraith Stealth 3.6-5.1 GHz
- **GPU**: XFX Speedster SWFT210 AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Core Edition 12GB GDDR6
- **Motherboard**: MSI B650 Gaming Plus
- **RAM**: Crucial Pro DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 5600 MHz CL46
- **SSD**: Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM850x 850W 80+ Gold
I know RAM prices are currently high, so I'm considering swapping out some components to save money, but I'm unsure how effective that would be. I have a 1080p monitor and don't need a top-tier GPU. If I change the build to the following components, the total will come out to around €1300, which includes about €100 for the case:
- **RAM**: Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR5 5600 MHz CL36
- **GPU**: XFX Speedster SWFT210 AMD Radeon Rx 7600 GDDR6 8 GB
Thanks a bunch for any tips! 😊

You might want to check out PCPartPicker for the best prices. Just select your country in the top right corner! You could also drop down to a 650W power supply; that's enough for a smaller GPU, plus there are cheaper SSD options you could consider.
If you're gaming at 1080p on high settings, the 7700 XT is really overkill. Instead, look for a used or possibly new 3060 or a 6700 XT – they’re more budget-friendly and would save you some cash since the 7700 XT is better suited for 1440p gaming.
Got it! Just to confirm, the specs your friend picked are the first ones, and you're asking about the alternate options you mentioned. Both new ones should work just fine!

So you're saying a 650W PSU would be sufficient? Thanks for clarifying!
