Is My PC Build Good Enough for My Cousin?

I'm building a PC for my cousin, and she needs something that looks nice (white) and will last a few years with Wi-Fi capability. My budget is around $1,400. I chose an AM4 setup because the newer AM5 parts are really expensive where I live. Initially, I was going for an AMD 5 5600X, but I noticed that the AMD 7 5700X is only $8 more, so I'm considering that instead. I'm unsure if her graphics card will match the processing power of the 5700X. My cousin doesn't game heavily; she mainly plays The Sims 4, Minecraft, and Roblox, but who knows what she'll want to play down the line. Here's my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bT48dq. Can anyone tell me if these parts make sense and if it's a balanced setup? Any advice?

For the price, this build looks solid! Upgrading to the 5700X is a wise choice since 8 cores are definitely better than 6. Plus, this setup should serve well for the games she'll be playing, and you can always add more memory or storage later. If you can, go for an NVMe SSD as the primary drive; it'll really help with speed. Keep your eyes peeled on local marketplaces for second-hand DDR4 deals too!

Looks like a great setup! She'll definitely get a good few years out of it. However, if budget allows, consider going with Intel's 13 or 14th generation. They offer better performance at a similar price point and also support DDR4, even though AM4 is good for now. Just a thought!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll keep that in mind if I find some good deals.

This is a nice mid-tier build! Sticking with AM4 is smart since it'll still be relevant for a while. The 9060XT graphics card paired with this setup should allow for great 1080p and even 1440p gaming. I think she'll be quite happy with this system!
