I'm currently a Cloud & Firmware Support intern at a SaaS startup, and while I'm grateful for the solid pay, I don't see myself building a long-term career in Support. I'm genuinely interested in making a switch to DevOps but feel unsure about how to go about it. Has anyone successfully made this transition? What steps should I be taking, like skills, projects, or certifications, to prepare myself for DevOps roles in the future? Any personal experiences or guidance would be super appreciated. And by the way, just be honest with me about the current job market and how I can stay motivated!

I'd totally recommend setting up a home lab. It’s a great hands-on way to get familiar with tools and processes that are common in DevOps. You'll gain practical experience and improve your troubleshooting skills.

What do you mean by a home lab? Is it like having my own server setup?
