I just bought a new 2TB SSD to expand my storage, but I'm wondering about my game progress. If I have two existing 500GB SSDs and I remove one to install the new SSD, will I still have all my game saves? Do my saved games sync with Steam or are they stored only on the SSD?

Most of the time, your game saves are stored in two places. They are saved on your disk and then synced with the Steam cloud. So, if you remove one of the SSDs and install the new one, your game saves should download again when you reinstall the game from Steam. No worries there!
You can use Steam's cloud backup for your games, but I've experienced some issues with that. I lost all my progress in Terraria once! My advice: instead of relying solely on cloud saves, it might be better to get an adapter for your new SSD and use a tool like Macrium Reflect to clone your existing drive. That way, you keep everything as it is!

Oh man, that's rough! Losing Terraria progress is so painful!
