I have about $800 left in my hardware stipend that expires this Friday, and I'm looking for practical purchases. I already own a standing desk and a decent chair. I'm considering options like a better monitor arm or upgrading my home dock since I use both a Dell and a Mac. Has anyone bought anything recently that they found really useful?

You might want to look into a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). It's practical and protects your hardware investment while offering power backup during outages. Definitely worth considering, especially if you're working from home.

That’s a solid idea! Having a UPS saved my work during a power cut last month.

A great option would be a high-quality monitor. If you're multitasking, an ultra-wide monitor can really improve your workflow. You could also check out a good KVM switch to efficiently toggle between your Dell and Mac setup.

Totally agree! I invested in a curved monitor recently and it's been a game changer for my productivity.

A mini fridge can be a nice addition for keeping drinks handy without leaving your office. Also, consider a good ergonomic keyboard and mouse combo for comfort during long hours.

I love my mechanical keyboard—big difference! Would highly recommend looking into it.

A decent pair of noise-cancelling headphones could significantly improve your focus, especially in a noisy office. Maybe even a high-quality mic for better communication during calls!

Right? I have some Sony headphones that are just incredible for blocking distractions.

If you haven't upgraded your RAM, that could be a smart investment, especially if you're running heavy applications on your Mac. Always good to have some extra power under the hood!

Just be cautious—$800 might not cover a high-end stick, but it's worth looking into!
