Should I Get the 5060 Ti Now or Save for the 5070 Ti?

Hey everyone! I'm currently upgrading my PC and I'm in a bit of a dilemma. My build features an i9 14k CPU and an RTX 2080, but I need a new GPU and I'm short on budget. I'm debating between getting the 5060 Ti or saving up for the 5070 Ti. I mainly work on video editing and 3D animations in Blender, and I don't do any 4K gaming—just sticking to my old 1080 monitor. I can afford the 5060 Ti now, but I've heard the 5070 Ti offers better future proofing. Should I go ahead with the 5060 Ti and enjoy the upgrade now, or save for the 5070 Ti and hope prices don't surge? Any insights would be appreciated!

If you're keeping it at 1080p, the 5060 Ti is perfectly fine and it's currently cheaper at around $550. However, the 5070 Ti, which I've just bought, will give you a significant performance boost and should last longer. Just keep in mind that prices might go up, as I've seen significant jumps recently. It's a tough call!

I'd definitely recommend considering the 5070 Ti if you're looking for future-proofing. It'll perform much better for video editing thanks to its extra encoders. The price might fluctuate over the next few months, but if you can wait, it sounds like a worthwhile investment.

From what I've read, the 5070 Ti offers better overall performance—about 244% compared to the 2080—is a solid option. So if you're not in a rush and can save a bit more, I’d say go for it!

I recently installed a 5060 Ti and it's been working great for my 3D projects. However, if you can manage more VRAM, I'd recommend not going below 16GB for future-proofing. Ultimately, both cards are good, but the 5070 Ti is a great choice if you have a bit of time to save up.

Exactly! The 5070 Ti's extra power is beneficial for heavier workloads, especially if you're using demanding software.
