Hey everyone, I'm pretty lost with tech stuff and feeling anxious right now. I was trying to transfer some photos from my old digital camera that I last used back in 2014-2015 to my laptop. While browsing through the SD card, I stumbled upon a folder named "RECYCLER" and, not thinking much of it, I opened it. Suddenly, my antivirus warned me about a serious threat. It identified a worm, specifically named Win32Dorkbot.I, which freaked me out since it was marked as a severe risk. Thankfully, Windows Defender quarantined it right away, and I deleted it. I quickly turned off my WiFi and disconnected my camera. Now I'm running a complete scan of my Windows system. Should I trust what Windows Defender did? Am I doing everything right? I could really use some tips or reassurance. Thanks!

Totally get why you panicked! Dorkbot is notorious for wanting personal info, but most modern antivirus tools are pretty good at dealing with these threats. Just keep an eye on your devices and change any important passwords if you feel uneasy. You did the right thing by disconnecting your camera!
You're likely fine! There's a chance that Defender just flagged it because it's an older camera and its software isn’t recognized as safe by Microsoft. Just make sure to keep your antivirus updated and continue with your full scan to be safe. Don't panic too much – just keep your guard up!
