I use my work laptop for Remote Desktop from my Mac all day, switching back and forth with a swipe on my Magic Mouse. This setup works great for me, and I dislike the hassle of juggling multiple computers, keyboards, and mice. My company requires a VPN for network access, and unfortunately, to reach our Azure resources, I have to use a No Split Tunnel (NST) VPN. This prevents me from connecting to my laptop via RDP. I've tried an IP KVM for remote access, but it was laggy and only worked at 1080p. My IT department mentioned that enabling local LAN access with AnyConnect goes against the NST protocol. I'm looking for alternatives to achieve a smooth, low-latency remote control experience like I have with RDP. I can run dedicated cables and have a 2.5G network switch between my devices.

Sounds like an IP KVM would be your best bet, but I get that it's not ideal if it's laggy. Is there a decent IP KVM that’s reliable for daily use rather than just occasional access?
Have you thought about adding a second network card to your Mac? If it's connected to your LAN, it might help you out. Just a thought!
Nope, the VPN will still route all the traffic through the VPN adapter, no matter what interface is used.
You won't be able to bypass this with a no-split VPN. It literally routes all your traffic through the VPN.
Would you consider using a virtual machine? That's what we did at my previous job when dealing with conflicting VPN clients.

I do have admin access when needed, but I'm stuck with the Cisco AnyConnect profiles. Looking for an IP KVM that performs better.
