I'm trying to install Windows 11 on my HP laptop using a flash drive, but every time I try to boot from it, I get an error saying it can't. I've done some troubleshooting, like partitioning the drive and reformatting it after re-downloading the OS. I'm not sure what I'm missing, though. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Just a heads up – if you’re using a program like Rufus or the media creation tool for the USB, make sure you're setting it up correctly for UEFI or BIOS, depending on your laptop's configuration. That can also affect whether the system recognizes the drive.
First things first, check if your laptop is detecting the drive you want to install Windows on. If it's not seeing the main drive, that could be part of the issue. You might need to tweak some BIOS settings or load drivers for your drive if you're using NVMe. Also, let us know what model of HP laptop you have for better suggestions!
Try turning off secure boot and enabling legacy support in your BIOS settings. After that, boot from your external USB drive again and see if that helps. Sometimes those settings can get in the way of installation.
