I'm currently renting a mother-in-law suite from an older couple, and the WiFi I'm using comes from their house, which isn't directly connected to mine. The WiFi speed is pretty slow, and when I'm in the bedroom, it's even worse. I need a reliable connection for my work station, but the signal is barely strong enough at my desk to load basic pages. I can get decent speeds in the kitchen, but I'd rather not work there all the time. The suite doesn't have any Ethernet ports, and while there are some phone landlines, they're not connected. I noticed there are cable TV connections, and I've heard about MoCa adapters but haven't used one before. What are some good options to boost my WiFi signal without bothering my landlords too much?

Check how far the WiFi signal is reaching. You might need to ask them if they can set up a repeater closer to your suite. Ideally, you'd want one inside their house and another in yours to strengthen the connection.
A travel router or a WiFi repeater placed in the kitchen could really help improve the signal. Those with good antennas tend to work better, so keep an eye out for recommendations on trusted brands!
Any suggestions for a quality travel router? I used to care a lot about ping for gaming, but now that I’ve switched to Nintendo Switch, it isn’t as critical.
Have you considered using your phone's hotspot? If your plan allows for it, that could be a quick solution while you figure out a more permanent fix.
Just a heads up, it’s 'suite' not 'sweet'! 😄

So I should suggest two repeaters then? One at their end and one in my suite?
