Hey everyone! I'm about to build my very first PC and before finalizing my parts, I wanted to get your opinions on my choices. Please be brutally honest! I'm mainly going to be using it for editing (like vlogs and gaming content) and also gaming. Here's what I have in mind:
- **Case**: Lian Li LANCOOL 216
- **CPU-Cooler**: Arctic LF 3 Pro
- **CPU**: Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- **GPU**: RTX 5070 Ti
- **RAM**: 64GB Kingston Fury
- **SSD**: 4TB Samsung 990 Pro
- **Motherboard**: X870 TOMAHAWK
- **PSU**: be quiet! Dark Power 13 1000W
Do you think this is a good setup, or should I consider any changes?

If you're spending big bucks, you might want to look into the 5080 instead of the 5070 Ti for a bit more gaming power! That said, if you're still happy with the 5070, stick with it. Also, make sure the SSD you chose has solid reviews. The 990 Pro is great, but there are cheaper options that perform just as well nowadays.
I think your build looks solid! Just a heads up though, the X870 motherboard might be overkill for your needs. Same goes for the Dark Power 13 PSU; it’s great but a bit pricey if you’re not running the highest-end hardware. If you’re looking to save a few bucks, there are cheaper but still very reliable options out there.
Right? I agree with you on the X870. A good B850 board could save some cash and perform well without losing functionality.
For gaming, while you’ve picked some top-notch parts, consider whether you need all that power. The Ryzen 9 is fantastic, but you might be able to save money and still have an amazing gaming experience with lower-tier components. What specifically do you edit with? Knowing that might help in tailoring suggestions!
I’m using Davinci Resolve mainly for gaming videos and vlogs. I just want to ensure it handles everything smoothly now and in the future.

Exactly! I’ve seen some really competitive PCIe 5.0 SSDs that can save you a decent amount. The Crucial T705 is worth considering.
