Experiencing Microfreezes in Games After Upgrading to Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my computer with a Ryzen 7 7700 and then the highly praised Ryzen 7 7800X3D. While I've seen a noticeable boost in FPS, I've also started encountering frustrating microfreezes in all my games. This issue seems particularly pronounced in online games and those with heavy model loads like Rust, World of Warcraft, GTA V (RP), and It Takes Two. I was advised to revert back to the 9800X3D, but the problem persisted. I've tinkered with various BIOS settings and even switched between Windows 10 and 11, yet the microfreezes won't go away. I've also changed the SSD and motherboard, but nothing seems to help. Is it possible for such a powerful processor to cause these kinds of issues?

Can you share your full specs, especially your power supply and CPU cooler? Knowing your setup can help in troubleshooting.

Are you using a wired connection? I've had similar issues with World of Warcraft on an Intel CPU. It seemed like it was more about lag getting data from the server rather than the processor itself. Try connecting directly to your modem with an Ethernet cable and see if that helps.

Have you made sure that your chipset drivers are updated? That can sometimes fix these kinds of freezes.

Have you tried resetting your BIOS or clearing the CMOS to revert everything back to factory settings? Sometimes that really helps with these issues.
