I recently got a new work laptop which has a copilot key instead of the right CTRL key, and it's driving me a bit crazy. My IT department mentioned that I might be able to remap it using Windows settings, but they emphasized that I shouldn't use any third-party applications for this. Is there a way to accomplish this using just the built-in Windows tools?

Have you tried using PowerToys? It's a Microsoft tool, and I usually remap the caps lock key to delete. It should be allowed by IT, but you may need to run it as an administrator to make sure it works properly. Just a heads up, I had to get permission from my IT first.
You might want to check out Microsoft's official resources on remapping keys. They have instructions that can guide you through the process. Just make sure you follow the steps carefully to avoid any data loss. Oh, and always back up your files just in case!

Yeah, running PowerToys as admin worked for me too! I'm hoping it stays that way. It makes a big difference, especially with how often I use those keys.
