I've recently built a new PC with some pretty decent specs: a 9800x3D CPU, RTX 5090 GPU, Asus ROG B850-F motherboard, 2 TB Hynix Platinum P41 SSD, ASRock PG-1300G PSU, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM. A couple of months in, I started experiencing random shutdowns while gaming. It's happened three times so far, but each time it occurs during different games and under varying levels of demand. The first event didn't concern me much, but after the third shutdown, I'm starting to worry. When it shuts down, there's no warning—it just turns off completely, with only the RGB lighting on the motherboard still active. I made sure all my cables are connected properly. My PSU has built-in GPU cable temperature monitoring, which I thought could be an issue, but the inconsistencies make it hard to believe that's the cause. I'm looking for any advice on what might be going wrong and how to fix it.

Have you checked the quality of your power supply? It might help to see what else is on the same circuit. I’ve seen cases where too many devices on one circuit caused issues. A friend of mine had his AC messing up the power, which fried a few devices, including his router. Just something to consider next time your PC shuts down. Make sure your setup is getting clean power.
It sounds like your shutdowns are happening while you're gaming, which could point towards a PSU issue or maybe some cables not being connected right. Given that you're playing different games each time, it complicates things, but your PSU could be struggling under different loads. You might want to consider an RMA for it since it’s unpredictable.
That makes sense. I'm planning to look into that, but with how rare the shutdowns are, it's tricky!

That's a good point! I do have quite a bit running—AC, TV, gaming console, and more. I’ve got my PC and monitors on a surge protector, but I’ll take a closer look at the power situation next time.
