I'm working on an Amplify app and I've set up my custom domain. However, I'm seeing a charge of $0.50 even though I thought I was on the free tier. Is this a normal charge, or have I messed something up?

Sorry to hear you're dealing with this! If you're not able to identify the charges, I suggest checking out this AWS re:Post article that might clarify things for you. Also, if you're still unsure, you might want to reach out to AWS Support directly for help.

It's likely that the charge is coming from AWS Route53 because of the Public Hosted Zone. Even if you're on the free tier, having a hosted zone can result in a small monthly fee. I get charged about $0.55 for mine each month, so this sounds familiar.

Yeah, I have the same situation! It’s definitely the hosted zone that's throwing in those charges.
