My laptop, an ASUS TUF Dash F15, has suddenly stopped charging past 27%. It charges to that point, but when I unplug it, it shuts down immediately. I've tried using a USB-C charger, but it dies right away without the regular charger. Additionally, my Windows isn't displaying the "time until full charge" like it usually does. I've rebooted the laptop and ran a diagnostic test that indicated no issues with the battery. What could be going on?

Don’t rule out other issues! It’s possible that your charger is failing when it gets hot, or maybe the battery is actually at capacity but the gauge is just malfunctioning. Checking your charger might be a good idea too, just in case.
Also, keep in mind the age of your battery. If it’s around two years old, it's likely starting to degrade noticeably.
You could look into replacing the battery since new ones typically run between $40 and $100 online. There’s even an iFixit guide for your particular model that makes the replacement process look pretty straightforward. If you want to use the laptop without being plugged in, a new battery seems necessary.
It sounds like you might be dealing with a dead battery. When the battery management system notices a fault, it prevents charging to avoid any safety issues like fires. That's why Windows isn't able to estimate the time left to charge—it's not calculating properly because the charge level isn't changing. Your battery gauge likely hasn't been accurate for a while, and now that it appears dead, it's just stuck at that last percentage.

It was showing a full charge yesterday before I unplugged it, is that typical with this problem?
