I'm getting ready to upgrade my PC, specifically looking to change my CPU, which means I also need to switch out my motherboard. I'm a bit unsure about making the transition without causing any issues. I'm particularly concerned about whether the PCIe cables will work with the new board. Currently, I have the NZXT N7 Z490 motherboard, and I'm considering this new one: [Amazon Link]. My main requirements are that it supports Intel's 12th generation CPUs and DDR4 RAM. I'm not in the US, so returning it if it doesn't fit isn't a possibility. The new motherboard must fit in my case, so size is important too. Would I be able to just switch to this new motherboard without changing anything else in my setup?

You'll definitely need to change the CPU along with the motherboard. Luckily, most of your other components should work just fine. Just make sure everything aligns correctly—especially the sockets and sizes—before you install.
Swapping out motherboards can get tricky, so double-check the socket types, dimensions, and cable compatibility to avoid any headaches later. It looks like that new board should be okay, but just make sure it fits all your requirements!
It looks good on my end too, but I just wanted to double-check. That's really why I posted here.

Thanks for confirming! Yes, changing the CPU is actually why I’m switching motherboards. Do you think the new one will be a good choice? I picked the cheapest, but I could invest a little more for better performance.
