Why isn’t my GPO enabling the “Use this connection’s DNS suffix in DNS registration” option?

I'm having trouble with my Group Policy Object (GPO) that's supposed to enable the "Register DNS records with connection-specific DNS suffix" setting. I configured it under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > DNS Client, but it doesn't seem to be checking the box for that option on my Windows 11 25H2 clients. I checked and the policy is applied, but there's nothing in the Event Viewer indicating an issue. I'm at a loss here—has anyone experienced this or have any advice on troubleshooting it?

I tried this with a local GPO and it worked fine after a reboot. Make sure you're linking the policy to the correct Organizational Unit (OU) and that you don't have "computer settings" turned off on the GPO. You can run `GPResult /h output.html` in CMD to check if the policy is being applied. You might have another GPO in conflict with this one, so double-check that too!

I do see the policy is applied, but I'm unsure if other settings are interfering. I think I'll strip it down to just this one GPO to see if that clears it up.
