I found out that all of our AWS accounts have been deleted, likely because they haven't been used in a couple of years. I still have backups of the data, so losing things like S3 isn't a big deal for me. However, I'm curious if there's anything specific I need to do to restore these accounts, or if I should just go ahead and create new ones to ensure they get regularly accessed going forward.

AWS typically doesn’t close accounts due to inactivity. Your accounts might have been closed for violations of the terms and conditions or unpaid invoices. If that's the case, there's a chance they won’t be recoverable.
Yeah, once they're gone, they're really gone! No resurrection for those accounts.
Are you sure they were really deleted? Sometimes accounts might just be inaccessible. Have you tried checking your old payment info to see if there's any indication of the account's status?
I can't even find any info about unpaid balances; they seem completely gone without a trace.

But once they're fully deleted, you can't bring them back, right?
