What Budget-Friendly Graphics Card Should I Buy for Future Use?

I've built my PC around 10 years ago with specs including a Ryzen 3600x, 16GB RAM, and an RX480 4GB. I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card for better performance in work tasks (I need CUDA cores, so an NVIDIA card is preferable) and gaming, specifically to handle Cyberpunk 2077 on high settings. I want to make this card last for a couple of years until I can do a full upgrade. I've considered a used RTX 3070 priced at about 250 EUR / 290 USD, but I'm unsure if it will be future-proof. Any recommendations for used NVIDIA cards under around 350 USD?

For future-proofing, you might want to consider at least a 16GB card. I’ve heard good things about the 5060 Ti with 16GB; it could be a great fit for you!

I’ve been eyeing the 5060 Ti too—looks like a solid choice!

But what about the 12GB models? If the 5060 Ti and 5070 are similar in price, you'd definitely want to go for the 5070.

Honestly, in your price range, there's no such thing as "future proof." The 5060 performs similarly but might have better long-term support and runs cooler. Just keep that in mind!

The 3070 is a solid choice but I wouldn’t call it future-proof—especially since it’s only 8GB. Since you don't upgrade often, you really want something that'll last.

You should definitely consider saving up for a better option; the AMD route is worth looking into, too!

If you're looking to do any serious work, you’ll want at least a 12GB card, ideally something like a 4070 or even a 16GB card like the 4070 Ti Super. Those should hold up much better for the future!
