Looking for an Open-Source IDE That Respects My Privacy

I'm on the hunt for an open-source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that doesn't use AI features and keeps my data private. Recently, I've been concerned about my personal data, and I'm eager to move away from VS Code due to its telemetry and Copilot features. I need a user-friendly alternative that's also beginner-friendly. I'm primarily coding in Python but am also learning C++. I'm hoping to find something that closely resembles VS Code in terms of functionality. I use Linux Mint Cinnamon, but I'm open to using Wine if needed. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked out VS Codium? It's a great open-source alternative that doesn't track your data. It's pretty much the same setup as VS Code without all that telemetry nonsense.

I looked it up and it seems like a great option! Thanks for sharing! I had no idea it existed.
