I'm trying to figure out how to turn off my phone screen while keeping everything else running in the background. The issue I'm facing is that when I press the power button, my device goes to sleep and locks, which stops processes like downloads. I attempted to use an app, but I found it really confusing. All I want is the screen off while things like game downloads continue running. Can anyone help?

I need to keep big game downloads active. For instance, after downloading something like War Thunder from the Play Store, there’s tons more to install in-game, like HD textures. My phone needs to stay on during those downloads, and if the screen is off, they stop. I want to just turn the screen off to save battery while downloads are slow because my Internet is pretty bad.
