Hey everyone!
I came across a MacBook Pro M1 for just €150 on eBay. It has 16GB of RAM and everything seems to function well, but it's MDM locked because the original company that owned it is no longer in business. I'm curious if there's any way to permanently remove the MDM lock. I'd appreciate any insights you might have!

Unfortunately, it's likely that the MacBook is essentially a brick. You might be able to salvage some parts like the display or keyboard, but using it as a functional device without the MDM removal is doubtful.
You could consider installing Linux on it, which might work around some limitations.
While there are methods to bypass MDM, there isn’t a way to remove it entirely unless you can get in touch with the original IT department of the former company that owned it.
Theoretically, could buying a new mainboard and swapping it out work?
No chance. That’s why it’s priced so low. If removing MDM was an option, it wouldn't be sitting at just €150.
