Why isn’t my new HDD showing up in Windows despite being detected in BIOS?

I recently purchased a 2 TB HDD for additional storage, but I'm having trouble getting it to show up in Windows. It appears fine in BIOS, but it doesn't show up in Disk Management or when using Diskpart. What could be the issue?

You might want to check if RAID mode is enabled in the BIOS. If so, try switching it off or make sure you have the correct drivers installed. It's also worth noting that sometimes, if you're using an M.2 SSD, it can affect the visibility of additional drives, especially if they share bandwidth. Let me know your motherboard model, and I can help further!

Confirm that you're in AHCI mode, which you mentioned. If that's fine, there might be some driver issues. Sometimes just updating your motherboard drivers can resolve the detection problem. Also, try connecting the HDD to a different SATA port.
