Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind. My Apple account got locked, and I have no idea why. I've got the password and I can access my email, but nothing seems to work. Here's what I've tried so far:
1. I called Apple Support, and they told me they couldn't help.
2. I went to the Apple unlock page, but it just says my account is locked and can't be used.
3. I emailed Apple about it, but got the same response.
4. I even tried to recover my iPhone, but that made things worse.
Has anyone dealt with this before and managed to unlock their account? It's super frustrating because my $700 phone is useless now. I'm even considering legal action since it feels like they're taking away access for no reason. Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like you've hit a wall with Apple’s support. Unfortunately, if they’ve said there's nothing they can do, it likely means your account was locked for a specific reason, even if they aren't telling you what it is. You might want to check out whether you can request Apple to remove your Apple ID from the phone by showing proof of purchase. Here's a link for that: https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support. Just keep a receipt handy!
I know it's rough, but accounts don't just get locked for no reason. Apple usually has a violation of terms that triggers this. If it's about something like a fraud alert, they won't divulge details because they don’t want to give bad actors a heads-up on how to be sneaky. Consider whether you bought any gift cards or similar recently.
Look, do you really think Apple chooses accounts to lock for fun? That’s a bit conspiratorial. But if you can provide extra info about what happened before the lock — like any changes or suspicious activity — that might help. Also, if you're in the U.S., maybe file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They might be able to facilitate a conversation with Apple.

That's good advice, but I’d still be careful with the BBB. They’re more of a middleman and don’t have direct power. At best, Apple might just give you a generic answer about breaking terms of service.
