Which RAM Should My Friend Choose: G. Skill Trident Z5 or Corsair Vengeance RGB?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to help my friend choose between two sets of RAM and I'm a bit lost myself. Here are the options they're considering:

1. G. Skill Trident Z5 Royal Series Intel XMP 3.0 96GB DDR5 (6400MHz, CL32)
2. Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 96GB 6000MHz CL30

Honestly, I feel like the difference might not be huge, but I'm not certain. My friend is torn between these two, and I've heard the Corsair RAM (CL30) might be faster than the G. Skill (CL32). Plus, the G. Skill has a higher frequency (6400MHz) compared to the Corsair's 6000MHz.

If both sets perform similarly, maybe it just comes down to which one looks better in their setup? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It really depends on the CPU too! If they’re going for an AMD setup, DDR5-6000 with CL30 is usually the sweet spot for performance. So if they're leaning towards Intel, the Corsair is a solid pick. But, if they choose Ryzen, the G. Skill might be the better option since it can handle the faster speeds well.

Gotcha! They're currently debating between the Intel Core Ultra 9 285k and the Ryzen 9 7950X3D. So, should they stick with the Corsair for Intel and go for G. Skill with Ryzen?
