Should I purchase the RX 9070 XT now or hold off?

I'm in the process of building my first gaming PC and I'm at the GPU stage. I've already bought the cooler and the case, and I'm considering the RX 9070 XT. Initially, I planned to buy the GPU last, but I'm worried about price fluctuations with current market uncertainty. The RX 9070 XT seems like a solid card for its price, and I want to avoid paying more than necessary. This build targets 1080p/1440p gaming, and my budget is tight. Is it smart to buy the RX 9070 XT now before potential price hikes, or can I afford to wait? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you can swing it financially, buying now is the way to go! There's a lot of talk about prices spiking, so locking in the current rate makes sense.

I've decided to pull the trigger too. Gonna grab it next week!

I'd say go for it! The 5070 ti has surged in price recently, which will push more people towards the 9070 XT, driving its price up as well. Plus, there's still the RAM situation to consider. Do you know when you'll have everything to start your build?

Yeah, the increase in prices is rough. I’m hoping to have all the parts by the end of the year.

I almost bought this card four months ago when it was retail price at Microcenter. I finally snagged mine for $730 two weeks back. With how the market's going, I expect prices to hit $1,000 by year's end, especially if the 5070 ti keeps rising.

That's really frustrating. These price hikes are unexpected! Looks like buying now is the best option.

With no major releases this year and the memory market being bad, I'd recommend going for a cheaper model if you're really worried about costs.

The best moment to buy was a few months ago when prices were under $600. Given where things are now, this is the next best time to buy!
