Looking for Advice on Upgrading My Gaming PC

I'm planning to upgrade my PC to have a sleek white build and I'd love some recommendations on parts! I'm aiming for a decent performance without going overboard – my budget is about £800-1000. I'm based in the UK and primarily use my PC for gaming, plus a bit of casual streaming and editing. I'm particularly interested in switching to DDR5 and I want to upgrade my RAM, motherboard, and CPU. I'm even considering a new white case! Here are my current specs:

- Motherboard: H310M S2H
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700F CPU 3.00GHz
- Installed RAM: 16.0 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)

I'm keeping my GPU since I think it's still pretty solid. I'd prefer to switch to AMD, but I'm open to Intel if it's better for gaming and streaming. I was thinking about getting 32GB Crucial Pro RAM and possibly an MSI B850M motherboard? I'm also a bit lost on which CPU to choose – I looked at the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, but I'm not sure if that would be overkill. If there are any other parts I should consider or if I need a CPU cooler (can I use my existing one?), please let me know! Any advice would be appreciated since I'm still learning the ropes!

Absolutely keep that RTX 3060; it’s still a beast for most games! If you're curious about storage, make sure you have an SSD since prices are up right now, but it greatly improves loading times. Good news is, if you've recently picked up a 2TB WD SN850X, you’re all set there! That’ll save you some money. You might want to check out the Gigabyte B850M motherboard too; it pairs nicely with the Ryzen CPUs.

I do have that SSD! So that’s a weight off my shoulders. Thanks for the tip!

You should definitely consider your budget and intended use for the new parts. If gaming and casual streaming are your main priorities, AMD Ryzen 5 7500F could be a great choice. For cooling, I recommend getting a new CPU cooler, like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120, which works well and looks good in a white build. And for RAM, 32GB of DDR5 is a solid choice for future-proofing your rig! Overall, it sounds like you have a solid plan going!

Thanks for the heads-up on the cooler recommendation. I'll look into it!
