What’s the Best Way to Clone My HDD to an NVMe SSD in 2025?

I'm looking to upgrade my computer by switching from an old HDD to a new NVMe SSD. My goal is to clone the existing drive and boot from the new SSD. While there are tons of tutorials available, many seem outdated. I've heard about using Acronis True Image, but I've seen mixed reviews which makes me a bit hesitant. Have any of you used it? Is it reliable? I definitely don't want to risk corrupting my files! I'm really in search of a foolproof method to do this, preferably from trustworthy sources. Any recommendations?

I've had great success with Macrium Reflect and Clonezilla for cloning. Both have worked flawlessly for me on several PCs and even consoles. I’d recommend giving those a shot!

I totally agree! Macrium has been my go-to for a while now, super simple to use.

Acronis is a well-known option, and it's generally reliable. I've personally used it and Macrium Reflect with good results. Both are solid for cloning drives. Just make sure to follow all instructions carefully!
