For 1440p gaming, the 4070 series or 5070 are also exciting options, but they might be above your budget. However, they are fantastic for future-proofing your setup!

Totally agree! I recently picked up the 9070XT for $885 AUD, but the RX 9060 XT at $529 AUD seems like a great price for a new card with so much VRAM.
