It's frustrating even with adblockers because the web seems to have become a less enjoyable experience. I had this idea about whether browsers could implement some sort of 'reflow protection' to help maintain the position of elements on the screen during reflows. The concept involves monitoring which items are in view and adjusting the viewport position to minimize movement when reflows happen. Could this be feasible, or is it just wishful thinking? Are there existing web design practices that would complicate this?

Using Firefox with uBlock Origin usually blocks 99% of ads for me, and I often create custom filters to catch that last bit!
I think automatic tools won't really solve the problem. The real solution is for developers to create better websites that consider user experience.
To be honest, many websites intentionally create these jarring experiences to trick users into clicking on ads. It's really frustrating!
