I'm looking to buy a new tablet and I'm torn between the iPad Pro 13" M5 (2025) and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. I currently own an iPad Pro 10.5" with an Apple Pencil from 2018 and it's been great, but I also use various Samsung devices like a Galaxy phone, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Buds. I'm considering switching to Samsung for the tablet because I think their performance is close, but I love the customization options they offer. My main concern, though, is which tablet will have a better resale value in a few years. Is the iPad typically better for that? I appreciate any advice!

Honestly, when it comes to video watching, the Samsung format is way better than the iPad's. Plus, the price for a decent Apple configuration is pretty outrageous. You'd have to be a bit of a sucker to spend over 1500 on a square tablet with such a closed ecosystem.
If you're already deep into the Samsung ecosystem and you value how well everything works together, I'd lean towards the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Don't stress too much about resale value if you prioritize integration over just holding onto the device. Personally, I'm all-in on Apple now, and that works for me, but I don't really fuss about the customization details on my tablets. Devices last long enough for me to keep for 6+ years, so I don't see much resale value being an issue since I prefer to get solid use out of them instead.
If resale value is your primary concern, the iPad is generally the safer bet. It tends to hold its value much better than most Android tablets as time goes on.

That's true, but isn't the size a big factor? The Galaxy Tab is 14.6" compared to the iPad's 13", which is pretty significant for things like eBooks and note-taking, especially if you're planning to use it vertically.
