I'm currently using an RTX 3070 Ti with an i5 10400F processor, along with 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 750W PSU, and an SSD. I game on a 1440p monitor. I've been thinking about upgrading my GPU because it seems like most games are maxing out my GPU while my CPU is only working at about 50%. However, I keep hearing about potential bottleneck issues. I'd really appreciate any advice on whether I should go ahead with the upgrade or not.

Upgrading makes sense, especially if you plan to switch to a better CPU in the future. Just keep in mind that gaming at 2K resolution could make it tougher on the CPU as well. Just stay aware of how things perform before and after the upgrade!
Upgrading your GPU is typically a solid choice! It's normal to just swap out the graphics card. If you're hitting 100% GPU usage while your CPU is sitting at around 30%, it sounds like you're not bottlenecked at all. Just go for the upgrade!
I get that, but I've read a lot about bottlenecks too. It makes me a bit anxious to upgrade when people are so concerned about it!
Bottlenecks can vary by game, so they're not as straightforward as some make them out to be. Many titles are more GPU-intensive, especially in your case. If your GPU is always maxed out, then an upgrade makes a lot of sense. Plus, you can always consider swapping out the CPU later on if needed!
That’s helpful, thanks! I guess I’m just worried about potential issues. But it sounds like I’m good to upgrade.

I don’t see it bottlenecking me now, so I’m feeling more confident about moving forward with the GPU upgrade.
