Is it Worth Exploring Coding at a Young Age?

About a month and a half ago, I got to experience coding at a special school with my career counselor. My classmates and I played around with code to create some symbols and images, which I found really enjoyable. Recently, my IT teacher has started teaching us coding using something called Code::Blocks. While it wasn't as exciting as my earlier experience, I still found it interesting. So I'm wondering if I should focus more on coding at a young age?

Just to clarify, Code::Blocks is actually an IDE and not a programming language. It’s mainly used for languages like C and C++. If you have a basic grasp of coding, you're definitely old enough to dive deeper. If it feels confusing, maybe take some time to learn the basics better, or try again later.

If you're intrigued by coding, definitely explore it! You're probably going to find a lot of support everywhere you ask about it. How old are you, by the way?

You can start learning scripting fairly quickly, but coding does require some dedication. If you enjoy it, keep going!

Think about where you're asking this! Sure, AI is making strides in coding, but just like math, knowing coding basics is still useful. Understanding how computers work will help you utilize tech better. You might have been using a turtle graphics system. Python's an excellent choice for beginners!

Learning with Code::Blocks might not feel like the real deal to some, but starting off with a more beginner-friendly language like Python could really help you find your passion for coding!

Code::Blocks is a legit open-source IDE mainly for C, C++, and Fortran. If that's not real coding, I don't know what is!

I got into coding using Scratch years ago to learn the basics of logic and flow. It’s a cool way to start!
