I recently got a computer that has Linux on it, and I'm totally new to this world. I've always wanted to try Linux but never had the chance until now. I'm 18 and just graduated high school, so I'm eager to learn. I've done some initial research, installed VS Code, and have Unity Hub as well. I've been trying to follow Unity tutorials and getting some help from Claude, but it feels pretty inefficient. Does anyone have any tips or resources to help me get started?

You were meant to use Linux! It’s the best OS for privacy and many other great features. Dive in and enjoy learning!
Linux probably didn't just appear out of nowhere; you either clicked through an installation or got a machine that came with it. My advice? Stop overthinking and start building projects. You'll learn way more by doing than just reading about it!
Make sure to enable Flatpak support; it's a useful format for installing apps on Linux. Here’s a setup guide for Kubuntu: https://flathub.org/en/setup/Kubuntu. This will open up way more options for you! Just like Windows, you can navigate by clicking around. Good luck!
I’ve already started playing around and got Flatpak installed! My little brother wants to play Roblox, haha.
Check out boot.dev for a great free Linux course. It could help you level up quickly and get rid of that 'noob' status faster than you think! You got this!
First things first, do you know which Linux distribution you're using? That can help us assist you better. A lot of people find Linux a bit tricky at first, but don't get discouraged—it'll grow on you! Just give it some time, except if you're using Arch, then all bets are off!
I’m using Kubuntu.
There’s really no such thing as accidentally getting Linux. But hey, maybe you bought a laptop that had it pre-installed without knowing!
Seems like that’s what happened.

I bought it with Linux but was clueless. What should I build?
