Is a 5500 and 5060 a Good Combo for My PC?

I'm planning to build a PC using a 5500 CPU paired with a 5060 GPU, and I want to know if this setup is okay. I realize that the 5600 is a better choice, but it exceeds my budget right now. I'm not too concerned about potential bottlenecks, but I'm curious if they can harm my hardware in any way. I'm also considering an upgrade to an R7 5700x in a couple of years. So, is it safe to use the 5060 with the 5500, or could it damage the GPU because of bottlenecking?

Bottlenecks can be a pain, but they won't damage your components. They'll mostly just lower your FPS and increase CPU usage. If you're on a budget, this setup should work for now, and upgrading later is always an option.

Honestly, you should be just fine with that combo. I know someone with the same setup, and they've been able to stream without any major issues. Just make sure you have enough RAM to support your gaming needs.

Sounds good! I'm planning to add more RAM next month too.

Yeah, it's perfectly fine to pair a 5500 with a 5060. Bottlenecks won't cause any damage to your hardware; they just might affect performance and frame rates. If you’re okay with that and plan to upgrade later, you should be good to go!

As long as you’re not looking for top-tier performance, a setup like this is fine. Just keep an eye on your frame rates; they might drop a bit, but that's normal with a bottleneck. And don't worry about damaging anything!

What RAM are you planning on using? I’ve heard that having at least 16GB is pretty ideal for gaming, even with bottlenecking.
