I'm searching for a user-friendly Linux distribution that will work well with my Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 (model 1958). I've dabbled in Linux before, but I'm far from an expert. The main requirement for me is that my hardware drivers—like graphics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the touch features—should function seamlessly without any complicated setup.

There's a subreddit specifically for Linux on Surface devices, which might have some useful insights. You could check out the one focused on Surface Linux for driver compatibility information.
I have the AMD version of the Surface Laptop 4, and I installed Zorin OS without any issues. Everything, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, keyboard, and external displays, worked instantly. Just a heads up, the touchscreen might not function since the 1958 model is also AMD—but if you don't mind that, you're in for a smooth experience!
The touchscreen isn't a dealbreaker for me, so I'm glad to hear everything else works well!
For Surface laptops, I’d suggest trying either Fedora or Arch. Fedora is a great choice if you prefer stability over rolling releases, but it does require a bit of setup to get everything working nicely. Once that’s done, it’s pretty reliable!
I run Linux Mint on an older Surface model, and I was pretty amazed by how well everything worked—definitely worth considering if you're looking for something easy to manage.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into that subreddit for more information.
