Need Help Picking Parts for a Gaming PC

I'm looking to build a gaming PC that can handle demanding AAA titles, and I'm not quite sure where to start. I've heard it's possible to build a decent rig for around $500–700, but my budget can stretch to $1000 if needed. I'm in the US and really want to play games like Black Myth: Wukong, Star Citizen, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and Cyberpunk. I've been a lifelong PlayStation gamer, but now I feel it's time to transition to PC gaming mainly for the visuals, as I love taking screenshots and enjoying stunning in-game scenery. If there are any specific parts I should look into or general advice, I'd really appreciate it!

For a good GPU, look at options like the ARC B580, 2070 Super, or 3060 Ti if you're willing to spend a bit. If you're looking for something cheaper, maybe the 6600 XT will work for you. As for CPUs, AM4 is a solid choice since its DDR4 RAM is less pricey. You could go for a Ryzen 5 5700X or 3700X. I don't know much about Intel, but they should have something competitive too.

Thanks for the tips! Quick question: Is there a website I can use to check if all my parts will be compatible? I know some motherboards only fit certain CPUs.

Check out this link: pcpartpicker.com/list/xyzsJw. It should help you get decent parts for your budget. Also, try searching YouTube for a Ryzen 5 5600 with an RTX 5050 gaming test to see how it performs.

I found an awesome pre-built gaming desktop that fits your budget: [Newegg Gaming Desktop](https://www.newegg.com/abs-stratos-ruby-gaming-desktop-rtx-5060-core-i5-14400f-32gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-sr7800x3d9070xt-black/p/N82E16883360936?Item=N82E16883360936&cm_sp=SP-_-2991358-_-BEST%20DEALS+-_-4-_-83-360-936-_--_--_-2). It’s on sale and has great specs!

This looks good! Why is everyone pushing for DDR5? Shouldn't DDR4 be fine for a while?

You might want to check out the bundle options at Micro Center. They often have good deals which can help you stick to your budget.
