Should I Upgrade to a 5800X3D or Go for an AM5 Build?

I'm looking for some advice on what to do with my gaming rig. I currently have a Ryzen 7 5800X with an RTX 3080, and I'm struggling to hit 400 FPS in Valorant, which I really want to utilize with my 400Hz monitor. I've already tried reinstalling Windows and overclocking my CPU, but nothing has helped me consistently reach that frame rate. My options for an upgrade are: 1) Get a used 5800X3D for around $700-$800 AUD, but it's a dead platform with no future upgrades. 2) Move to AM5 with a new CPU, motherboard, and RAM, which is more costly but has better upgrade potential. 3) Sell my whole system and start fresh with a completely new build. I'm primarily playing competitive FPS games at very high refresh rates. Is going for the 5800X3D the best value move here, or should I invest in AM5 or a full rebuild instead?

Really, it's essential to ask if you'll notice the difference between whatever FPS you're getting now and a stable 400 FPS in-game. Have you had a chance to play at that frame rate elsewhere, or are you just assuming it’s a big upgrade? It might not be a game-changer if you're already seeing decent performance in other areas.

I have a 400Hz monitor too, but I'm only hitting around 250-330 FPS. I can't say for sure if hitting 450+ FPS will dramatically improve my experience with the game.
