How can I use both my AMD and Nvidia GPUs together?

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7800 and an Nvidia Quadro 2000 installed in my HP Z420 starter build. I can see both GPUs in Device Manager and GPU-Z, but the Quadro isn't showing up in Task Manager or graphics settings. My HDMI cable is connected to the AMD GPU, but the Quadro seems to be working as it's spinning. Is there any way to make both GPUs work together?

It's pretty tricky trying to run an AMD and Nvidia GPU together because of potential driver conflicts. If you're looking to do things like gaming or certain compute tasks, it’s generally better to have two identical GPUs instead. What are you hoping to accomplish with dual GPUs?

If you're considering lossless scaling or something similar, you might run into issues with such old hardware. It's worth checking whether those features are compatible with your setup, but don't get your hopes too high!

Yeah, I agree! With hardware that old, it's a mix of trial and error. Sometimes older GPUs just don’t play nicely together.
